This week in Room 215

This has been a busy week!  This is what we did with the iPad this week.

We learned how to create a lesson using Educreations.  Miss Willis filmed a tutorial for us to follow.  We then created number stories using the app.  It was amazing to watch your children work so hard to create lessons. You could have heard a pin drop!  So exciting!   The children were told that if they wanted to create more lessons, they could this weekend and send them to me at

Google Apps email:

This week, Mr. Villeneuve and I had the children connect their Google apps email to their device.  This will make it easier for the children to email work to me and to collaborate with each other on future projects.

The children created a digraph Popplet for spelling.  After creating a Popplet, your child can save their work to their photo library by clicking export and then save as a jpeg. From Photos, your child can email it to me at

Good Reader and WebDAV

Today we set up the Good Reader app and WebDav. The children will use GoodReader to work on Daily Language Review and Daily Geography.  Wow, I was impressed with how quickly we were able to set this up with the students.  I gave them about 10 minutes to learn how to download an assignment, mark it up ad turn it in for me to check. My hope is to use Good Reader every day for these assignments.Image

Please make sure to read the email from Mr. Villeneuve about the Google Drive.  It has important information about how to download the app and how it will be used in the future.

Thanks for all your support this year and have a wonderful weekend.  Go WILDCATS!!

Week of September 4-7

We learned how to use the Edmodo app.  Today we did a math message and learned how to turn it into.  Pretty cool!  We will be using that app more now that we have the hang of it.
